| Another OR city. Another great rock gym |
We took our first trip over the Cascades and into Bend, Oregon. An outdoorzy mecca if I ever did see one, Bend serves as a base camp for x-country skiers, all types of downhill snow sports, mountain biking, climbing, rafting, disc golf, and pretty much everything else!
We had a great time visiting Sarah's family and getting some quality R and R from daily travel. It was also nice to cook for ourselves! I must say that a week without full kitchen access made me miss the routine of making food...

| Spaint after a few runs on the 50 ft. wall |
Weather was wet for most of our stay in Bend but we made some outings nevertheless. A day pass to the
Bend Rock Gym led to next-day soreness but a little more confidence on the wall and a lot of fun! First time doing top rope climbing for me and I think I have a new fitness hobby to compete with disc golf, hiking, canoeing, racquetball, and mountain biking!
Next trip took us to
Smith Rocks. I'll let the pictures do the talking....
Our bikes are in route and it is less than 10 days until we ride. Thank you, Uncle Tony for mailing them out!!! Big thanks to Aunt Julie for putting us up and we already miss you and the boys.
